Carroll Padgett

Carroll Elaine Padgett, 75, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020.

She is preceded in death by her parents, A. A. “Kit” and Mary Carson.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Padgett; two sons, David (Rhonda) Carson and Stephen Carson; two stepchildren, Kelley (Stephanie) Padgett and Amy (Aaron) Randall; five grandchildren, Danielle Mehicic, Hunter Gilliam, Becca-Jo Parchman, Gabrielle Carson, William Carson; five step-grandchildren, Meagan Randall, Skyller Padgett, Landon Parker, Bobbie Bittle and Audy Bittle; and eight great-grandchildren.

Carroll lived an extraordinary life.  She started her career a teacher and gradually branched off to software design.  She was employed at Marriott Worldwide Inc. as a Senior Business Analyst in Miami, Florida.  Her employment carried her to many different places throughout and outside the U.S. After a long, demanding career and travelling around the world, she retired to a quiet country life with her husband in Ethel, Arkansas.

Everyone knew her as “Nana”.  Her grandkids and great-grandkids were her life.  Carroll was a giving soul and helped everyone she could. She was loved by a host of family members and friends, and will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She was a remarkable person who left her mark everywhere she went.  The world won’t be same without her.

Visitation is 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Graveside service is 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Ethel, Arkansas.
