Carroll McMillan

Carroll Lee McMillan, 73, of Little Rock, passed away June 14, 2011. He was born in Pine Bluff to Calvin and Francis Alline Taylor McMillan and retired after 33 years with Teletype (Lucent).
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Betty Lou I. McMillan; daughters, Karen Renee Harper and husband, Bobby of Glendale, Arkansas and Gwenna Kay Barber and husband, Ronnie of Pine Bluff; son, Fred Elroy McMillan and wife, Marlo of Bryant; stepson, Billy J. Hamlin, Jr. and wife, Peggy of Benton; six grandchildren, Joseph Hamlin and wife, April, Jessica McMillan, Reuel Cruce and wife, Kelsey, Allison Birch and husband, Matthew, Linzy Taylor and Savanna Barber; and five great-grandchildren, Ethan Cruce, Elijah Cruce, Brett Birch, Eddy Grace Birch and Joseph Bradley Hamlin II.
He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved to bowl and enjoyed bird and deer hunting. He had a passion for sports and was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Dallas Cowboys and the Arkansas Razorbacks. The most important thing in his life was his family. We will always cherish the memories and the love we shared together.
Visitation will be Thursday evening, June 16 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be Friday, June 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held Monday, June 20 at 12:00 noon at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Children's Hospital, 1 Children's Way, Little Rock, AR 72202.
