Carrol W. Hollingshead age 74 of Arkadelphia died Tuesday, March 10, 2009 in Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. He was born November 22, 1934 the oldest son of Otis and JeffaLena Hollingshead of the Richwood Community. He was a member and deacon of Richwoods Baptist Church, retired farmer and school bus driver. He was preceded in death by his parents and one younger brother, Randy Hollingshead.
Survivors include his loving wife of forty-eight years, Amelia Jester Hollingshead; two sons, Kyle (Debbie) Hollingshead and Jay Hollingshead; two sisters, Norma Hilton (Jerry) of Gurdon, AR; Mary Williams (Frank) of Henderson, TX; one younger brother Clyde Hollingshead(Kathy) of Glendale, AZ; two step-grandchildren, one step great-granddaughter, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, March 13 at Richwoods Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Jackson and Rev. Van Barrett officiating. Interment will be in Richwoods Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:30-7:30 PM Thursday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Richwoods Cemetery Fund.
