Carrie Spears
Carrie M. Spears age 97, lifetime resident of the Caney Valley Community near Amity, died Tuesday April 29, 2008. She was the widow of Joseph Henry Spears and a Methodist. She was preceded in death by one son James Richard Spears and a grandson, Thomas McClain.
She is survived by four sons, Robert Eugene Spears of Amity, Jack Dale Spears of Daisy, Gary B. Spears and Charles I. Spears both of Caney Valley, one daughter, Julie Simmons of Caney Valley, nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Coker Cemetery near Rosboro. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday. Arrangements are by Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
