Carolyn Thomas Treece

Carolyn Thomas Treece, 81, born August 4, 1938 to Ralph E. Thomas and Ethel E. Rutledge in Meridian, Mississippi passed peacefully to her heavenly reward from Dementia on Sunday, June 7, 2020.  Mom was raised in McGehee where she graduated from High School in May 0f 1957.  She became a cosmetologist after graduating.  After moving to North Little Rock, she met Dad (Travis Treece) in Church.  They were married October 3, 1958.  They were married 46 years before Dad passed away February 1, 2005.  She worked many years for Timex and Leisure Arts only after raising her kids.  She was a member of the First Assembly of God in North Little Rock.

She was a loving, giving and caring Sister, Mother and most of all Granny.  She would give you her last dollar.  She was a worrier. She worried about her kids all the time, even until her last breath when we told her we would all be OK and take care of each other.  We will dearly Miss You, Momma.  We love you.

She Is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Travis Treece and many other loved ones.  She is survived by her three children, Donna Satterwhite (Joey), Tommy Treece, both of North Little Rock, and Charles Treece (Missy) of Vilonia; four granddaughters, Patricia Tullos (Merle) Skylar McClain (Josh), Jennifer Satterwhite (Christina) and Becky Satterwhite all of North Little Rock; two grandsons, Tanner Wilson (Brea) and Jessie Brown both of Vilonia; seven great-grandchildren, Harper McClain, Aidan and Noah Puckett, Jacei and Garrett Persons and Ruby and Joe Wilson; by three sisters, her twin Marolyn Bearden (Ted) of Texas, Elizabeth Sherman of Jacksonville, and Martha Fulmer (David) of North Little Rock.  Also, her special e-mail pal Uncle Wilbur and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friend and neighbor Dorothy Ford.

I want to thank Saline Memorial Hospice and a special thank you to her CNA Sherri and her Nurse Donelle.

Personally I want to thank my husband Joey for all of your help and support you have given me these past nine months of caring for Momma.

There will be a visitation for the family at her daughter’s home on Friday following services because Momma requested a closed casket there will not be a visitation at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donations should be made to Alzheimer’s and Dementia Research.
