Carolyn Snider

Carolyn Snider, age 83, of Kirby, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023.

She was born on July 17, 1939, in Frankfort, Indiana, the daughter of William Sherfey and Bernice Todd Sherfey.  On June 7, 1958, she was married to the love of her life, Bobby Snider, who preceded her in death on August 23, 1993.  She was also preceded in death by her son, James Snider; her parents; and her sister, Barbara Hummel.

She was a member of the Daisy Freewill Baptist Church and retired from Weyerhaeuser after twenty-five years of dedicated employment.  Carolyn was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who loved her family with all her heart.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.   

Carolyn is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Earlene Snider of Kirby; her grandson and his wife, Ricky and Milissa Snider; her great-grandchildren, Kaison Snider, Tensley Spears, Clayton Smith and Taylor Clinton and her husband, Chris; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Richard Sherfey of Tucson, Arizona and Eddie and Connie Sherfey of San Jacinto, California; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Cynthia and Perry Thompson and Linda and Rick Wallen, all of Tucson, Arizona; her two very special friends, Bobbie Gordon and Eunice Jackson; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 11, 2023, in the Daisy Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Kevin Jewell and Ricky Snider officiating.

Interment will be in the Mount Joy Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, Glenwood, 209 North Third Street, Glenwood, Arkansas 71943.

Pallbearers will be Kaison Snider, Clayton Smith, Ricky Snider, Tony Davis, Joey Davis and Dillon Semmler.

Honorary pallbearers will be her church family of Daisy Freewill Baptist Church.
