Carolyn Marie Pekar Moore, 68 of Houston, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 in Houston. She was born on October 3, 1941 in Memphis, Tennessee; she was the daughter of Herbert Pekar and Hazel Kimzey Pekar.
Carolyn was a graduate of Mabelvale High School; she was a Licensed Nurse who was formerly employed by St. Vincent Infirmary until 1982, when she and Don moved to Louisiana.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband Don Moore of Houston and cousins Don, Sandra, David and Casey Polk of Benton and a brother.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2009 at Huson Funeral Home Chapel in Little Rock with Dan Holt officiating. Burial will follow at the Forest Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Alexander.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2009 at Huson Funeral Home.
