Carolyn K. King, 74, of Van Buren, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on June 15, 2022.  She was born August 12, 1947, in Fort Smith, Arkansas to George and Caroline (Koenigseder) Kremers.  She retired from St. Edward Hospital (now Mercy Medical Center) with 42 years of service in the payroll department. Above all she was a loving wife and mother.  Her greatest joy was her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Caroline Kremers; her sister, Margaret Bridgewater;her brother George Kremers.

 

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ward King of the home; two daughters: Amy Martinous (Carl) of Bryant, AR; Karen Hayot (Marc) of Siloam Springs; brother Eugene Kremers of Van Buren; three grandchildren who filled her life with pride and joy: Chris Hayot, Alexis Martinous, Kaylin Martinous; as well as a host of other family members and friends who will all miss her dearly.

 

Visitation will be 4-6 PM Thursday, June 23, 2022 with rosary to follow at 6-7 PM at Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.  A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022 at 9 AM at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
