Carolyn Faye Angel Wilson Herrin, age 73, of Bismarck, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023.
She was born on August 10, 1949, in Fort Smith, the daughter of B.H. Angel and Billie Dean Carter Angel. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Michael Angel; and her first husband, the father of her children, Jimmy Dean Wilson.
On November 1, 2002, Carolyn was married to Ricky Herrin. She was a member of Salem Clark Missionary Baptist Church. For many years, Carolyn owned and operated Wilson Garage, where she kept the office running smoothly, and later was the secretary for the Hot Spring County Assessor’s office. She loved to go shopping, camping, took great pride in cleaning her house, making sure it was always immaculate, and was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan. Above all, Carolyn was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who loved and cherished her family. Her greatest joy in life was following her grandchildren in all their sports activities. Carolyn will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Ricky Herrin of Bismarck; her son, Darren Wilson of Amity; her daughter, Stacey Wilson Stone of Amity; her stepson and his spouse, Randy and Jackie Foltz of Hot Springs; her stepdaughter and her spouse, Lisa Rae and Jay Spinks of Arkadelphia; her grandchildren, Skyler Wilson, Pyper Wilson, Grace Wilson, Jasper Wilson, Sydney Crews, Katie Matthews, Payton Stone, Brooklyn Cook, Reagyn Hopper, Herrin Spinks, Uriah Spinks, and Jagger Spinks; her great-grandchildren, Hudson Wheeler and Lexi Kate Crews; her three brothers, Jimmy Angel of Glenwood, Wayne Angel of North Carolina and Ronnie Angel of Amity; her sister, Deanna Thornton of Wyoming; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 3, 2023, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Bro. Keith Howell and Bro. Rick Mays officiating.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, 209 North Third Street, Glenwood, Arkansas, 71943.
Interment will be in the Jones Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ritchie Richardson, Dale Richardson, Stevie Joe Wilson, Devon Owens, Jay Spinks and Terry Thornton.
