Carolyn Garcia

Carolyn Marie Garcia, aged 75, died peacefully on January 20, 2018 at home in North Little Rock, surrounded by family. Carolyn was born April 24, 1942, in Little Rock, Arkansas, the daughter of Harvey Cauley and Sadie Henson.
Carolyn grew up near England, Arkansas where she attended Plum Buyou Elementary School. As a teenager her family moved to North Little Rock where she attended North Little Rock High School. Though she left school before graduating to get married, she was determined to finish her high school education and later earned her GED despite being busy raising three young children.
Being with her family was what Carolyn enjoyed most of all. As a military wife she moved house-holds several times, but always provided a warm and loving home for her husband and children. She was a supportive and devoted wife and mother, and was always there for her family whenever they needed her. She will be remembered for her intelligence, sense of humor and boundless affection by her loving husband and children.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Richard; children, Robert Garcia of Omaha, NB, Lynne Reese (Matthew), Bartlett, TN, Paula Shelton of North Little Rock, and Carmen Sellinger (Bobby) of Jacksonville; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
There will be a visitation from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m., followed by a rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 and a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in North Little Rock.
