Carolyn "Lola" Hohn Gammon

Carolyn “Lola” Hohn Gammon, 65, of Conway, Arkansas passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2023. She was born October 6, 1957, in Newport, Arkansas to Carl and Wilma Hohn. She graduated from North Little Rock High School where she formed many friendships due to her kindness, caring, and outgoing personality. She loved her years at UCA. While on Spring Break in her Sophomore year, she met her husband, Gary, on the beach in Florida. After college Carolyn was an entrepreneur, small business owner, and sales professional. Carolyn thrived in home and decor sales. Due to her outgoing personality and innate ability to make a house a home, she was extremely successful and a top producer.

Carolyn was the most wonderful, supportive, and loving mother to her children and all of their friends. Her summers were spent at the ballpark, lake house, and taking many vacations. Carolyn always loved going on vacations and ensured her children were exposed to the country's most unique and exceptional parts. Because of her love for the outdoors, the Colorado Rocky Mountains will always be special to her husband and children. She was an incredible mother and her children are eternally bettered by all she did for them.

Carolyn remained extremely close to her best childhood and college friends. They continued getting together whenever possible for weddings, showers, concerts and just to spend time with one another. These memories that were made will be cherished forever. Family was always the most important thing to Carolyn. She remained extremely close to her mother and father who moved near so they could spend more time together. Carolyn was an inviting and caring mother-in-law who loved the new additions to her family. When the grandkids arrived, Carolyn became “Lola'' and it was the happiest time of her life. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She spoiled Kenna, Cruz, Grace, and Carly any chance she had. It's a tragedy she will not be able to continue enjoying so much time with her granddaughters and grandson.

After retirement, Carolyn's two main passions were grandkids and traveling. Many trips were made with Gary, especially memorable were several trips to the pacific northwest, trips to Maine, Nova Scotia, and Quebec city. Carolyn was able to cruise down the pacific highway from Big Sur to Puget Sound hitting all the national parks along the way. Her favorites were the Sequoia trees of northern California. Her last vacation was a boondock camping trip in a truck camper from Conway, AR to Homer, Alaska, and back. She enjoyed her adventures of camping in the most isolated and beautiful locations. She experienced her dream trip to Italy seeing Venice, Florence, Rome, and Cinque Terre. However, Carolyn's favorite place was always Paradise Village in Puerto Vallarta where she vacationed many times with Gary and the kids.

Carolyn will be missed more than she ever could have imagined.

Remaining to celebrate her memory are her parents, Carl and Wilma Hohn; husband, Gary Gammon; daughter, Sarah (Aaron) Reid; son, Bryan (Leah) Gammon; grandchildren, Kenna, Cruz, Grace, and Carly; brother, Greg (Jane) Hohn; and many extended family and friends.
