Sue's life was her husband, Harry, her sons and her walk with the Lord. Later, she got the daughters (daughters-in-law) she never had, and delighted in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family was her focus in life. She was a great cook and many people would agree. She is known for her coconut cake. There were many family functions that she organized and cooked for.
Sue was a member of Oak Forest United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women-Rebekah Sub Group for more than 60 years. She also served as Children and Nursery Coordinator along with working in the children's educational programs, vacation bible school, and taught children's Sunday School classes for many years. She formed a Friday night Parent's Night Out for children. This program lasted 12 years during which she had lots of fun and good memories.
Sue worked in the Kindergarten Child Development Program at Central High School for five years and with the children's program at First Christian Church. As her husband, Harry, was going to school at the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City in the 1950's, she worked as a draftsman for Southwestern Bell.
