Carolyn Anita Clark, age 84, of Hot Springs, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 23, 2022.
She was born on April 10, 1938, in Fort Smith, the daughter of J.W. Bayley and Jaunita Exum Bayley. She was preceded in death by his parents; her husband, Russell Clark; and her brother, Franklin Bayley.
Carolyn retired after 32 years in a job she truly loved; working at the Garland County Library. Her passion was reading and there is no telling how many books she read throughout her life. She would amazingly let you know she was right because she worked at the library. We at home stood no chance playing Jeopardy with mom. Forget about playing Scrabble, because if we accused her of making up words, she would then refer to the fact that she worked at the library. Her greatest treasures were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who loved her and will greatly miss her.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Laurie Clark, Jim and Kathy Clark, and Mike and Robbie Clark; her daughter, Susan Clark; her beloved grandchildren, Katie (Travis) Paul, Kaycee Clark, Sarah Hamilton and Dustin (Laiken) Deaton; her beautiful great-grandchildren; her partner in crime, Sue Swinden; extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00PM, Friday, December 2, 2022, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.
Guest registry is at www.smithfamilycares.com.
