Carol Lynne Ferguson Slobig passed away Thursday, January 6, 2011. She was born October 3, 1954 in Borger, Texas toWilliam Harold Ferguson and Evelyn Olene Hynes Ferguson.

Carol graduated from high school in Dumas, Arkansas and was a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Monticello. She was an educator and taught kindergarten in McGehee and North Little Rock's Glenview elementary for 28 years.She was a long-term member of North Little Rock First United Methodist Church.

Carol married Glen Slobig in July, 1998 and for the next 12 years with Glen as her soul mate enjoyed many fun and exciting adventures with a multitude of good friends. Carol loved life and her many friends loved her smile, laugh and fun personality. She was a member of a monthly bunko club, investment club, and enjoyed jet skiing,water skiing, snow skiing, motorcycle riding and was always fearless and eager to explore new adventures. Since her retirement from teaching in 2004, Carol and Glen enjoyed their retirement years traveling in their motorhome to California and the western states, traveling overseas and spending time with family and friends. With so many wonderful memories of Carol, words cannot express the loss felt by her family and friends.

Carol is survived by her husband Glen, stepson Brandon Slobig, grandsons Alex and Ethan Slobig, all of Cabot, AR, mother Olene Ferguson of Dumas, AR, brother Dennis Ferguson and wife Rachel Ferguson, nephew Lance Ferguson and wife Laine Ferguson, niece Ashley Ferguson of Rogers, AR. She was godmother to Austin Barnet and Lauren Underwood. She is preceded in death by her father, Harold Ferguson of Dumas, AR.

Visitation is on Sunday January, 9th at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170, from 4-6pm. Funeral services will be held at First United Methodist Church on Monday, January 10th at 10am. Burial services will be at Walnut Lake Cemtery in Dumas Arkansas tenatively on Thursday at 1:00 p.m.
