Carol R Newcomb

Carol Ronney Newcomb, a beloved member of the community, passed away on August 25, 2023, in Hot Springs at the age of 83. He was born on March 16, 1940, in Mountain Pine, Arkansas. He was a graduate of Mountain Pine HS.

As a painter and a carpenter he left his mark on many homes, and buildings throughout the area over the years. He took pride in raising cattle and enjoyed many years showing cattle with his children and grandchildren. He loved nothing better than loading his dog box full of hounds and having a good race to listen to. He shared his love of the race with his family and friends, as often as possible. He spent years with the Lake Ouachita Fox Hunters Association and the Garland County Fox Hunters Association. He was a member of Circle Cross Cowboy Church of Glenwood.

Carol joins his family in heaven including his wife, Patsy Ann Scott-Newcomb, his parents A.V. and Ina Newcomb, a son, Reggie Newcomb, sister, Oneta Shelton, two grandsons, Matthew Miller, and A.V. William Blake Gilbert. He leaves behind four children: Robbie Newcomb (Missy), Roger Newcomb, Shawna Newcomb-Gilbert, and Vicky Castillo. Five grandchildren: Zack Miller, Danielle Hudgens, Kirby Newcomb, Ashley (Slayton Taylor) Newcomb, and Jayden Newcomb. One great-grandchild, Kaylee Burton. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
