Carmen Sanchez Ramirez

Carmen Lucila Sánchez Ramírez, 75, of Maumelle passed from this life on January 2, 2021 at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born September 24, 1945 in Celica, Ecuador to the late Julio Sánchez and Lucila Ramírez Sánchez. Carmen was a very thoughtful person who was always looking to help others in any way. She was passionate for nature, one of her favorite places in the world was Vallehermoso farm in Zapotillo, Ecuador. She was an active person who enjoyed walking, swimming, horse back riding,  dancing, listening to music, working crossword puzzles, watching soccer and traveling. She loved and enjoyed cooking for her family.

She attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Silvio, Guillermina, Julio, and Elio Sánchez.

Survivors include her daughter, Inés and her husband Michael Mahfouz of Maumelle; grandsons, Michael Mahfouz Jr. and Shane Mahfouz. Other survivors include siblings, Gloria Sánchez, Violeta Sánchez Loaiza, César Sánchez and Fabiola Sánchez, along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss her immensely.

Memorial service arrangements will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Carmen’s memory may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary School , 7025 Jasna Gora, North Little Rock, AR 72118.
