Carlton "Brendon" Carroll, age 38, of Hope, passed from this earth into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, April 4, 2018. He was born on April 21, 1979 in Macon, Georgia, the son of Bill M. Carroll and Ava Young Carroll-Neighbors. He was preceded in death by his father. Brendon was loved by everyone. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He especially loved his job at Rainbow Industries doing various recycling duties for nearly nineteen years. Brendon faced many hurdles through his training at Rainbow of Challenges. Although he was told he couldnt do it, he graduated in 2000 from Hope High School and eventually moved into his own apartment. He also received five gold medals from his involvement in Special Olympics. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Ava Young-Neighbors and Ryan Neighbors of Amity; his brother, Larry M. Carroll of Amity; his sister, Dalana Pittman of North Little Rock; two step-brothers, Raymond Neighbors and Brandon Neighbors, both of Amity; his step-sister, Amber Maxwell of Amity; his nieces, nephews, extended family; and a host of friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 7, 2018, in the Amity First Baptist Church with Bro. John McAnally officiating. Visitation will be Friday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Bear Creek Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Scott Maxwell, Corey White, Larry Don Kuykendall, Antonio Curley, Dusty Skates, Steven Woodall and Devaughn McDonald. Honorary pallbearers will be Rainbow of Challenges, O.M.E.G.A. and the staff of Wadley Regional Medical Center of Hope. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
