Carl "Carlis" Loy Sr.

Carl "Carlis" Lee Loy Sr., passed away on April 17, 2024, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Born on May 29, 1936, in Bismarck, AR, to Henry and Marie Loy. 
 
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Claudie Loy and Horace Loy; sister, Nadine Hill; grandson, Carlis Lee Loy III; and stepson, Donald Hall.

Carlis served in the US Army before going on to work for Oaklawn for over 20 years as a building supervisor. In his free time, Carlis enjoyed the thrill of visiting Las Vegas with friends and creating cherished memories. His passion for life extended to his hobbies and interests, bringing joy to those around him. He was a very outgoing person and never met a stranger. 
 
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Laquita "Dian" Loy; his children, Carlis Lee Loy Jr. (Jennifer), Carla Loy, and stepson Ricky Hall; grandchildren, Sebastian Loy, Kamren Loy, Ryzic Loy, Dustin Nievar, and Courtney Nievar;  As well as his five great grandchildren, Heidi, Charlie, Callan, Candance, Kinsley, and his canine friend Cuddles.
 
A Visitation will be held at Smith Family Funeral Home in Hot Springs on Saturday, April 20th, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a Funeral Service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location to honor the life of Carl "Carlis" Lee Loy Sr.
