Carl Zakrzewski

Carl Zakrzewski, 87, of North Little Rock (Marche Community) passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at his home. He was born September 2, 1921 in Pulaski County, Arkansas to Joseph and Mary Zakrzewski. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, the Rosary Solidarity and a World War II Army veteran. He was employed with Missouri Pacific Railroad and later went to Draunghs School of Business. He was a Television technician for 555, Inc. and Strass Frank Company as a Warranty Representative and small component repair. After retirement he was a gardener, farmer and Mr. "Fix It".
Everyone will miss his wonderful smile.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Cecilia Zakrzewski; son, Charles Zakrzewski, both of Marche; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Sylvester and Marie Zakrzewski and Louie and Augustine Zakrzewski, all of North Little Rock and Albin and PeeWee Zakrzewski, of Mayflower; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Maggie Seredynski.

Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery. A vigil service will be held 7:00 P.M., Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nrlfh.com.
