Carl Avery Sullivan

Carl Avery Sullivan, born on October 19, 1953, in Moline, Illinois, went to be with Jesus on February 1, 2025.

Carl dedicated much of his professional life to the food industry, initially as the General Manager for Ben E. Keith Foods of Arkansas, and then at Metropolitan Foods. Most recently, he was known for his warm presence and respected role at Treetop Condominiums, where he was loved by all the residents, he had the pleasure of interacting with.

Carl was a kind-hearted man and had an infectious grin. He had a love for engaging in a good debate and was generous to those around him. His Christian faith was an integral part of his life, and he held a deep love for his family, including his best friend and the mother of his children, Cheryle Sullivan. Carl took great joy in spending time with his daughter, Candice Sullivan, and his son, Jordan Sullivan.

He was a proud grandfather to Payton Crump, Avery Crump, and Audrey Sullivan. He never missed an opportunity to support Payton at the ball field cheering him on for every game. He loved spending time with and spoiling Avery and Audrey. Carl also had a soft spot for his pets, showcasing the warmth and compassion that defined his character.

Carl enjoyed peaceful mornings spent walking along Pensacola Beach on vacation, taking in the beauty of the ocean. At home, he could often be found walking the River Trail. He remained an avid supporter of the Cowboys, demonstrating a loyalty that transcended the ups and downs of their seasons.

Carl is survived by his loving family, including his siblings, Ken Sullivan (Hazel), Renee Thomas, Ron Sullivan (Kathleen), and Melody Gately (Sammy), along with a host of family members and friends who were fortunate to know him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carnell and Willodean Sullivan, and his brother, Gerry Sullivan.
