Carl Lehman Shaw

Carl L. Shaw of North Little Rock, Arkansas departed from this life at age 89 on February 17th, 2023.

He was born February 25th, 1933 to Joshua and Eva Shaw and raised in the small town of Swifton, Arkansas. He always spoke fondly of his childhood adventures and lifelong friends he had made during his youth. 

After graduating high school he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War.

After his time in the service he returned home to Little Rock and began working for the Union Pacific Railroad. During this time he met his wife and started a new chapter in his life. He went on to have one son. He retired from the railroad after 37 years.

Carl leaves his cherished memories to his wife of 60 years, Jane Shaw, his son Jason Shaw and his wife Alisha Shaw, and his grandchild, Taylor Shaw.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Joshua and Eva Shaw. His three brothers: Girstle, Ralph, and Verner Shaw. As well as his two sisters: Juanita Victory and Elwanda Gould. 

Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home.  Interment with military honors will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
