Carl Ray Hicks, age 80, of Pearcy, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2020.
He was born on January 11, 1940, in Pearcy, the son of Delmar Hicks and Winnie Phillips Hicks. He was preceded in death by his father, Delmar Hicks; his mother, Winnie Phillips Hicks Corder; his daughter, Carla Ogima; and three grandsons, Kenneth Hicks, Matthew Abrams and Michael Hicks.
Carl was Methodist in his faith. He was a member of the Showman’s Club. He was a skilled mechanic for the carnivals and loved motorcycles and cars. He was a people person with a lot of personality.
He is survived by three sons, Thomas Hicks of Branson, Missouri, Sean Hicks of Hot Springs, and Josh Hicks of Benton; three daughters and sons-in law, Tammy (Bubba) Abrahams of Alabama, Michelle (Mike) Kinley of Camden, and Kathy May of Branson, Missouri; 25 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Mark Corder of Hot Springs; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Pastor Michael Kinley officiating.
