Carl Hunthrop,

Carl T. Hunthrop, Sr., 88, died Thursday, September 25, 2008. He was a World War II veteran who served honorably from November 1942 to January 1946. He retired from Fort Roots V.A. Hospital in 1979 after 32 years of service. He was a member of Crystal Hill Assembly of God Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Zelma (Brockinton) Hunthrop. He is survived by his son, Carl T. (Ted) Hunthrop Jr. and daughter-in-law, Elaine Hunthrop; sister, Litty Brown and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to the staff and residents at Elmcroft Assisted Living of Sherwood who were part of his family for 5 years and the staff at St Vincent North who took such good care of him during his brief illness.
Memorials may be made to Park Hill Baptist Church Elmcroft Ministry, 201 East C Street, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72116 or Crystal Hill Assembly of God Church, 6722 Mountain Pine Road, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72118.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Sumner Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M., Sunday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
