Carl T Huneycutt age 89 of Cherokee Village, Arkansas formerly of Hot Springs died Tuesday, September 30, 2008. He was born January 17, 1919 in the Manchester Community near Arkadelphia, one of fifteen children to Leonard Garfield and Annie Belle Lee Huneycutt. Mr. Huneycutt was an avid fisherman, hunter, a member of Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church and a U. S. Army Air Force veteran of WW II. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Lane McCaskill Huneycutt.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Lavadna Miles Huneycutt; two sons, Dr. Michael Huneycutt and his wife, Mary Ann of Austin, Texas; Joseph L Huneycutt and his wife, Jackie of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; one step-daughter, Shelia Roe and her husband, Art of Stockton, Missouri; six grandchildren, Dr. Lisa Barnett, Dana Brunson, Dr. Matthew Huneycutt, Ashley Tabor, Edmond L Rogers and Adrian Renee Rogers; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Terrel Huneycutt of Dallas, Texas; Hassel Huneycutt of Hot Springs, Arkansas; two sisters, Lucile Purifoy of Malvern, Arkansas and Eva Harper of El Dorado, Arkansas.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, October 3, 2008 at Macedonia Cemetery near Dalark with Bro. Gary Harvey and Bro. Don Farris officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Memorials may be made in honor of Carl Huneycutt to Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church 3781 Hwy. 7 S. Arkadelphia, AR. 71923.
