Carl Junior French, 82, of Little Rock, passed away March 3, 2012 in Huntersville, North Carolina. Born April 17, 1929 in Keo, to Carl D. and Leona Boyd French, he was retired after 39 years of service with the Union Pacific Railroad, and 30 years in the Air National Guard with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of the Winfield United Methodist Church in Little Rock, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
Preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Betty Page French, his son, Brad Williams French, sister, Gladys E. Smith and brother, Lloyd V. French, he is survived by his daughters, Carla Rhea Bohannon and husband, Richard of Huntersville and Gail Sue French of California; brother, Gary French and wife, Regina of Maumelle; three grandchildren, Heather Conway and husband, Bobby of Huntersville, Brian and Brent Nichoalds of California; and two great-grandchildren, Haley and Dawson Conway. Also surviving are his stepsons, James Page and wife, Brenda of San Antonio, Texas, Robert Page of Little Rock and Richard Page and wife, Pam of Joplin, Missouri; six step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
Carl was a very hard working man, a great father and he very much enjoyed many games of golf with his good friend, Hank Hallum. He will be missed but he is now in the presence of the Lord.
