Carl R Evans

Carl Ronald Evans 82, passed away Friday, May 6, 2022 peacefully surrounded by his family. Carl was born in Chicago, IL on May 12, 1939 but had been transplanted to Little Rock, AR for nearly 40 years. He leaves behind his devoted wife Patty of 29 years, his children Denise Evans and Cary Evans of IL, Jeffery Evans (Viv) of FL, Anthony Evans (Alondra) of MD, Phillip Evans of TN and Natalie Evans of AR, one brother, Wesley Evans (Judy) of IL, five grandchildren, and his fur babies, Wilson and Murphy.

Carl's background was in marketing and sales, primarily in broadcasting. In 1985, he was the General Manager of KAAY AM and 107.7 FM in Little Rock. Soon after he started and was President of his own company Press Promotions, a revenue and ratings promotion for broadcast stations nationwide. He was also co-owner of America Direct Mailing Firm. 

Carl, also known as “Pop” by many, enjoyed afternoons on the golf course and evenings in his woodworking shop. He loved simple serene mornings with his wife in the village and will be remembered for his sharp and witty sense of humor, even in his last days. 

He instilled hard work and independence in his family, and never let a day go by without reminding his wife how much she was loved and appreciated. He will be missed always and never forgotten. 

A memorial service will be held at Smith Little Rock Funeral, 8801 Knoedl Ct, Little Rock, AR on Wednesday, May 11 at 3p.m. with family visitation from 2-3p.m.
