Carl E. DeVaney, 90, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2008. He was a retired accountant for Goodyear Tire and Rubber in Lincoln, Nebraska. After retirement he moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas. He was an active fly fisherman and member of the Fly Tying Club in Little Rock and Bella Vista. In 2005 the Little Rock Club awarded him their Man of Year Award. He was a member of the Cathedral of St. Andrew.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia (Brady) DeVaney; and his sister, Lorraine. Survivors include his son, Ron DeVaney, of Wichita, Kansas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jan and Terry Hill, of Little Rock and Mary and Delmar Klocke, of Wichita, Kansas; two brothers, Ralph and Keith DeVaney; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday at Cathedral of St. Andrew. Private burial will be in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. Services conducted by North Little Rock Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1921 Main St. 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
