Carl Thomas "Tommy" Cooper, 79, of Ward, Arkansas, was born March 13, 1930, at West Plains, Missouri, and he died Wednesday, March 3, 2010. Tommy served ten years in the Air Force. His family owned and operated Cooper Fire Extinguisher Co. which was established in 1976. He was a member of Primitive Baptist Church in North Little Rock, and was an exceptional husband, father, and grandfather.
Tommy is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Marjorie Cooper of Ward; his daughter, Janice Moore and husband Claudie of Ward; his son, Tim Cooper and wife Kari of Beebe; six grandchildren, Robin Barrett and husband Brad, Shaun Peters, Jason Moore, Shannon Moore, Kayla Cooper and Brittney Cooper; four great-grandchildren, Kelsey Barrett, Justin Barrett, Haleigh Moore, Serenity Moore and baby girl on the way, Madison Moore; one sister, Jane Sheridan; two brothers, Gale Cooper and O. S. Cooper. He was preceded in death by a son, Carl Wayne Cooper, his parents, Othel and Pauline (Cates) Cooper, and a brother, Floyd Cooper.
Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 8, 2010, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Butlerville Cemetery.
