Carl Boyd

Carl E. "Pete" Boyd passed away on February 11, 2018 at the age of 99. He was born in Little Rock to Harvey H. Boyd and Hazel M. Boyd on July 19, 1918.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 71 years, Katherine; two brothers, a sister and a grandson.
He grew up and lived in the Geyer Springs community of Little Rock on the family dairy farm his entire life. He was co-owner of Boyd Dairy.
He was an avid sportsman, hunting well into his 80's. He spent many hours at the old family dairy barn woodworking, gardening and training his hunting dogs.
A fifty year plus member of the Scimitar Shrine Temple, he was also a 33rd degree Mason and a member of the Royal Order of Jesters Court 12.
He and Katherine traveled the world which took them to over 15 countries. Most of all he loved his family.
He is survived by his children, Carlene and Hugh Carruth of Longview, TX; Mike and Nancy Boyd of Cabot, AR; Penni and Joe Benton of Rose Bud, AR; and Pat and Patty Boyd of Little Rock, AR; 10 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander, AR at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2018.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
