Calvin May

Calvin T. May, 77 of Little Rock, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at McLellan VA Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born March 23, 1934 in Harrisburg, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Gordon May and Stella Bishop-May, who passed away when Calvin was a child, and he was raised by his loving grandmother Mary M. May.
Calvin was a retired meat cutter for Harvest Foods, and was a United States Army Veteran, and a 32nd Degree Mason of the former Westwood Lodge #353. He married the love of his life Betty Joan Steele on June 21, 1951. Calvin was of the Methodist faith, and his daughters tell how he was the world's best loving father and grandfather, for the great care and love he always provided.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife.
Survivors include his daughters Connie Streetman and husband Larry and Tonya Stafford of Little Rock, and grandaughter Stephanie Stafford.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 6, 2012 at Huson Funeral Home Chapel in Little Rock, burial will follow at Pinecrest memorial Park Cemetery in Alexander. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Huson Funeral Home in Little Rock.
