Calvin Craig Everett, formerly of Batesville, died Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock. He was born on January 17th, 1943 in Batesville, at Dr. Craig's home. Cal was preceded in death by his parents, Foche and Lilbarn Everett, a brother, Fred Everett, and a sister, Shirley Osborne.
Cal graduated from Batesville High School, where he played football for the Pioneers and attended Arkansas State University. He worked for many years in real estate in Arkansas, Georgia, and Arizona. Cal loved fishing and going out on his boat.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Buddie Everett of Little Rock; a brother, Brian (Darlene) Everett of Tunica, MS; sons, Brent (Cheryl) Everett of Batesville and Chad (Julia) Everett of Maumelle; a step-son, Marc (Aida) Bowers of Germany; grandchildren, Amy and Cody Everett and Logan Elms of Batesville, Massey and Fiona Everett of Maumelle, Aaron Elms of Cabot, and Connor and Sara Bowers of Germany; several nieces and nephews, and his loyal companions, Freckles and Hope.
No service is planned.
Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Sheriffs' Youth Ranch or the American Heart Association.
