Calvin Edwards

Calvin James Edwards, 93, of Benton passed away on January 29, 2022.   He was born March 26, 1928, in Springfield, Arkansas to the late Charlie Franklin and Mary (Satterfield) Edwards. Calvin enjoyed baseball and going to the horse races. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lanette Smith; brothers Otis Edwards, Owen Edwards, Ezra Edwards, Homer Edwards, Luther Edwards, Columbus “Red” Edwards, and Bennie Edwards; sisters Pearline Edwards Cullum, Ruby Edwards, Florence Edwards Stacks, Eveline Edwards Pope, and Sewilla Edwards.

Left to cherish his memory are son, Keenan Edwards, and wife Rita of Malvern, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Other survivors include a sister, Glenna Edwards Perry of Louisiana along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Graveside services will be at 11:00am at Friendship Cemetery in Solgahachia, Arkansas. Visitation will be 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, North Little Rock, Arkansas, 72114, (501) 758-1170.
