Calvin Cherry
C. H. Cherry, 83, of Searcy, Arkansas, was born December 20, 1925, at McRae, Arkansas, to John and Allie Mae King Cherry, and he died Friday, January 30, 2009. He was an avid sports fan and sportsman, and was a member of the VFW and First Baptist Church at Higginson.
Calvin was preceded in death by his wife of thirty-six years, Ida Mae Cherry; his parents; and a brother, James Armon Cherry.
He is survived by his stepson, Jim Bryant (Lori) of Ferris, Texas; faithful friends Ron and Brenda Rash; one sister, Arlene Smith of Modesto, California; one brother, Royce Cherry of Russellville; numerous grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
