Burnie Robertson, age 88, of Glenwood, died Monday, February 13, 2012. She was born on December 17, 1923, at Hot Springs, the daughter of Benjamin Harrison McGough and Josephine Kauffman McGough. She was a member of the Glenwood Free Will Baptist Church, was active with the Glenwood Senior Citizens Center and the Glenwood Extension Homemakers. She is survived by four children and their spouses, Helen and James Leamons, Jimmy and Sharron Robertson, Presley and Linda Robertson and Debra Nichols, all of Glenwood; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Dr. Ben McGough of Vancouver, Washington; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 18, 2012, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Terrell Holland, Bro. Jack Herring and Bro. Tom Dubose officiating. Visitation will be held Friday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Robert Leamons, Brian Bailey, Jeremy Bailey, Nick Robertson, Calvin Nichols and Cody Robertson. Honorary pallbearers will be the nurses and staff of the Glenwood Health and Rehabilitation and Oak Park Retirement Center, Dr. Timothy Webb, Dr. Michael Verser, Dr. Ferdinand Roda, Ronnie Bailey, and all her grandchildren.
