Burl Garrett

Burl Dewey Garrett went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 3, 2016, at home with his family. Burl was 58 years old and was born in Lawton, Oklahoma to the late Crawford and Pauline Garrett.
Burl was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Orville Garrett.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 32 years Tammy Garrett of Benton; One son, Jarrod Burl Garrett (Monica) of Benton, Arkansas; One daughter, Jami Michelle Garrett and fiancé Hunter of Bryant, Arkansas; and one grandson Brooks Hunter Young of Bryant, Arkansas; two step-grandchildren, Caroline and Landon Spann of Benton, Arkansas. Three sisters, Kim Odle (Donnie) of Paron, Christy Thompson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Marilyn Fennimore (Bill) of Panama City Beach, Florida.
There are many family and friends who loved Burl and will miss him always. Burl was a true country boy and loved to spend his time on the lake fishing and in the woods hunting. He was employed at Coors Tek for thirty three years.
Reception visitation will be Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at Smith-Benton Funeral Home.
Funeral service, officiated by Rev. Terry Parrish, will be Monday, 11:00 AM, March 7, 2016 in the Chapel of Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 North Market Street, Benton, Arkansas 72015. Burial to follow at Fowler Cemetery, Paron, Arkansas with Marty Rickard, Terry Klober, Bill Gary, Alan Hilborn, and Alan Nanes serving as Pallbearers.
