Burl Elkins

Burl Weldon Elkins, 80, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on May 27th. He was born September 21st, 1937 in England Arkansas to Ella and Charlie Elkins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Margie Laverne Elkins, his brother Leon Elkins, and his sister Kathleen McNutt. He is survived by his son Steve Elkins and his wife Cindy Elkins, his granddaughter Chloe Elkins, his granddaughter Linzy Elliott and her husband Cole Elliott. His granddaughters were the apple of his eye. Mr. Burl enjoyed his business that he founded and built. He was a hardworking man that was as sweet as honey. He would give you the shirt off his back. He enjoyed country music and gospel music, and he loved to sing. He was active in many churches, where he met his wife Margie at a youth rally. He loved his employees and would continually tell them they were the best. He loved to mow and sit outside. His family is grateful for the support and for all the family and friends that came to visit and pray with him in his last days. As weak as he was, he always followed every prayer with the loudest amen! He was a quiet man that was devoted to what was right. He left this world loving and caring about his family and friends. Please join the family for a celebration of his life with handshakes, tears, and love. Services will be held at North Little Rock Funeral Home, with a visitation from 6-8pm on Thursday, May 31st and a funeral at 10am Friday, June 1st. God Bless.
