Bruce Allen Anthony of North Little Rock, AR completed his journey to his heavenly home on September 3, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce W. and Modean Sides Anthony, his grandparents Frank and Effie Anthony and Iva Novella and Charles Sides.
Survivors include his wife Celeste Bowman Anthony, children; Georgia Winstead (James), Allen Anthony (Carrie), Charles Anthony (Melanne), Jeff Crittenden (Karen) and Lisa Crittenden, grandchildren; Pifer, Morgan, and James William Winstead, Halea Anthony and Brittany Crittenden and his sister, Janet Porter (Jack)
Bruce grew up in El Dorado, AR. He is a graduate of Castle Heights Military Academy and the University of Arkansas - Fayetteville and was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity.
Coming from the large family that created what is now Anthony Forest Products; Bruce spent most of his working years in the timber and wood products business. He began his career in the family business then branched out to operate his own sawmill. His career allowed him to visit many parts of the U.S. but the last working years were in and around Hot Springs, AR
Bruce loved the outdoors. He learned to hunt and fish as a young man and had many happy memories of those days on a lake with "Daddy Frank" or in the deer woods or duck blinds with his cousins and later his children. His love of those outdoors activities and later gardening continued throughout his life.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 2 p.m. in Westover Hills Presbyterian Church in Little Rock, AR. Interment will be in Dollarhide Cemetery in Foreman, AR
