Britt Cordell

Rev. Britt Cordell, 96, of Beebe, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on September 21, 2011. He was born in Beebe to Henry and Ninnie Cordell and was raised by Edward and Emily Cordell. He served in the ministry of the Methodist Church for sixty-five years and retired at the age of 90. Rev. Cordell served churches in several states including Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, South Dakota, Iowa and Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-five years, Velma; his parents; five brothers; two sons, Lonnie and Francis; one son-in-law, Don Juhnke; and one great-grandson, Philip McCormick.
He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Juhnke of Springdale and Sharon (Cliff) Albert of Beebe; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandkids.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2011, at Antioch Community Church, with burial in Antioch Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Methodist Childrens' Home, 2002 S.
