Brent Allen McNair

Brent Allen McNair, 42, of North Little Rock passed away January 1, 2023.  He was born in Little Rock on February 24, 1980.

Brent is survived by his mother, Diane Robinson Barnard, daughters:  Kaylyn Marie McNair and Grady Haze McNair; grandmother, Carlie Blankenship (Dan); brothers:  Curtis Wayne McNair, Alex Wayne Barnard and T.J. McNair; sister: Maria Hailey (Kenneth) aunts and uncles:  Beverly Perritt (Jake), Rhonda McPherson, Daphnia McArthur (Darrell), Rev. Gary Robinson (Missy), John Emmett Robinson, Jr., (Marsha); several cousins, extended family members, and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, John Emmet Robinson, Sr. and Leo McNair: grandmother Margie “Polly” McNair; sister: Alecia Danielle McNair.

Brent was loved by all that knew him. You rarely would see him that he was not smiling. He had many artistic talents; he had a passion for drawing and enjoyed writing songs and poems. He had recently started making leather goods and had made many beautiful things.

 He loved helping others and would give and share what he had with anyone that was in need. He loved making people laugh and would do some goofy things to achieve that. His laugh was infectious and is one of the things people remember fondly about him. He loved adventure, being outdoors, fishing, and hunting. He loved hanging out with his friends and being a friend people could rely on, but most of all he loved his girls, Kaylyn and Grady. His first question on the phone calls to his mom was, “have you seen or talked to the girls?” And when he had been able to talk to them himself, the first thing he would say is, “I got to talk to the girls”, and then would tell her all about the call.  He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

Visitation is 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home.  Funeral is 2:00 PM Thursday, January 12, 2023 at First Pentecostal Church, North Little Rock.  Burial will follow at Edgewood Memorial Park. Pallbearers include:  Darren Baugh, Jason Whitney, Devin Baugh, Eric Wiley, Dillon Baugh, Trey Middleton, and Jason Otts.  Honorary pallbearer is Jake Peritt.
