On July 30th, 2021 the world lost a wonderful woman. Brenda Kay Haley of Little Rock passed away at Baptist Health in Little Rock at the age of 64. She rejoins in heaven, her father, mother, and a gathering of other loved ones that are too long to list.
A beautiful girl was born to Paul Jay and Mary Ellen (Brown) Loudermilk on February 13th, 1957. Brenda was proudly the only girl and the first of four children: Terry, Gary, and David. A native of the Little Rock area, she graduated from McClellan High School in 1975. She became a devoted mother to Melena Sarringar in June of 1979 and Frankie Sarringar in April of 1983. Being a mother was her heart and soul. Brenda graduated from Eastern College of Health Vocations in June 1999 as a Medical Assistant to help provide care for her parents. She worked for Entergy as an accounting clerk for almost 30 years. In the summer of 2017 she met Dwayne Haley and they were married on June 8th, 2019.
Brenda was a woman of faith and baptized as a child of God. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading mystery novels, cooking, shopping, antiquing, her dogs, keeping her husband in line and traveling with him. She was every bit a red head, with a kind spirit and a fierce soul; an outgoing and outspoken personality who never met a stranger. It would be a challenge to find anyone who ever met her that didn't love her. She loved with her whole heart, offered valuable advice, was easy to make laugh, and gave selflessly.
She has left to cherish her memory: her devoted husband, Dwayne Haley of Little Rock; her two loving children, Melena (Kenny) Murphy of Sherwood, and Frankie (Sheila) Sarringar of Bauxite; her two adoring bonus children, Nicole Rose Haley of Benton, and Rachael Haley of Newport, TN; her three admiring brothers, Terry of Malvern, Garry (Sharon) of Maumelle, and David of Hyrum, Utah; her eight grandchildren who where the joy of her world, Gavyn Murphy, Kaylee Murphy, Quince Sarringar, Carley Sarringar, Haydon Murphy, Madisen Murphy, Cadence Crowley, and Adelaide Haley; an aunt, Aletta McGuire; a host of nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins. Over the years there were many that called her 'Mom'. She will be missed by numerous friends and loved ones.
The pallbearers will be: Frankie Sarringar, Dwayne Haley, Kenny Murphy, Chris Willis, Brad Muse, Jesse Walpole, and TJ Faulkner. The honorary pallbearers are Gary Loudermilk, Terry Loudermilk, David Loudermilk, Rachael Haley, and Haydon Murphy.
Family will receive friends for the visitation at Smith Sherwood Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 4th at 6pm to 8pm. The funeral will take place at Smith Sherwood Funeral Home on Thursday, August 5th at noon with a graveside service to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Flowers for the family may be arranged with Sherwood Florist & Every Blooming Thing.
