Brenda Shurley Nixon, 68, of Little Rock, passed away August 6, 2015. Born in North Little Rock to Joe L. Shurley and Cloie Landers Shurley, she was a sales representative for Plunkett Distributing. Brenda was a member of the National Association of Professional Women, and was Woman of the Year in 2013 and 2014. In 2013, she also was awarded the Covington Who's Who Honors Award and was recognized by the Sterling Registry for her professional achievements and contributions to the community.
Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Christi Kittler and husband, Fred of Little Rock; sister, Donna Myers of Houston, Texas; grandsons, Brandon Kittler (Jordan) and Zachary Thigpen, both of Little Rock; nephew, Toby Nelson Myers of Houston; and special friend, Martha Moore of Little Rock.
Services will be held on Tuesday, August 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), officiated by Brother Richard Sandage.
