Brenda Mason

Brenda F. Mason of Beebe made her journey home on December 6, 2022, after a hard-fought battle with Alzheimer’s, embraced by her husband and sons. Brenda was born in Pangburn, Arkansas on August 16, 1955, to her parents Robert Long and Dora Sullivan Long, the youngest of 13 children.

She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Dora Long, five brothers: Jerry Long, Henry Long, Melvin Long, Charles Long, and Thomas Long. Three sisters: Gracie Long, Minnie Bottorf, and Marie Sparks-Boyce.

She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Everett Mason, Sr. of Beebe; her sons, Marvin Mason and his wife Sharon of El Paso, and Robert Mason of St. Francisville, Louisiana; grandchildren Sarah Wright of Judsonia, Ronnie and Seth Mason of El Paso, Ethan and Morgan Mason of Zachary, Louisiana, and great grandson, Gannon Wright of Judsonia. She is also survived by three brothers, Johnnie Long, Carl Long, and Jimmy Long; and one sister, Maebelle Sandstrom; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

She retired from delivering auto parts in the Cabot area in 2017. She was a devout Christian, mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Arkansas Hospice Office in Searcy, AR. The family would also like to express their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the Hospice Staff for their compassion and assistance during this trying time.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.  Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, with entombment in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
