Brenda Lee Eppes

Brenda Lee Eppes, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, peacefully passed away on March 30, 2025, at the age of 82. She was born on May 2, 1942, in Dyersburg, Tennessee and her warm spirit, infectious laughter, and deep love for life made her a cherished presence in the lives of those who knew her.

Brenda was a self-employed business owner, running a convenience and grocery store, where she engaged with customers and built lasting relationships within her community. Her vibrancy extended beyond her career, as she delighted in spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren. Whether it was imaginative tea parties with hats and adopted accents, or her passion for just having fun, singing and dancing, Brenda's enthusiasm for life was evident. Memories of her dancing the night away with her sisters at her granddaughter's wedding, so exuberantly that the DJ joined in on the fun, testify to her charismatic and playful personality.

Gardening was another passion that filled Brenda's life with purpose and joy. Blessed with a green thumb, she dedicated herself to nurturing a beautiful yard that was a source of pride and happiness. She could often be found trimming and planting, cultivating what she considered her "happy place" into an oasis of beauty. Her talent for sewing also shone through in her creations, as she lovingly crafted clothes for her daughter growing up, and special smocks for her grandchildren when they were born.

Brenda's legacy of love is carried on by her loving husband of 64 years, Billy Eppes; her devoted daughter, Nicole (Mike) Rose; and her treasured grandchildren: Madison Riley, Anna Claire Davis, and Landon Rose. She is also survived by her two beloved sisters, Kay Jones and Martha Hendren, along with many nieces and nephews, including Rob Carter, Tina Brock, Leon Enochs, Mark Kimbrell, and Kathy Hendren. Brenda's warmth and kindness will be sorely missed by her loving family and a multitude of close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Buel and Girty Lee Enochs, as well as her brother, Sherry Leon Enochs, and sister, Betty Kimbrell.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to The Manor and Hospice Home Care, along with Southern Charm, for their love, support, and attentive care during her time with them.

A visitation will be held in Brenda's honor on April 5, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life starting at 11:00 AM at Smith Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St. in Benton, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Brenda's name can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Brenda Lee Eppes will be remembered fondly; her legacy continuing through the laughter and love she shared with those she treasured most. She will be sorely missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
