Boyce Brown

Boyce Wayne Brown passed away peacefully on June 29, 2016. He was born July 30, 1933 in Nimrod, Perry County, Arkansas, but spent most of his life in the Little Rock area. He lived on acreage that had been in the Brown family for six generations.

He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Wilbur Brown, his mother Blanche Juanita Scott Brown, two brothers Allen Brown and Harold Brown.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Evelyn Harper Brown, 2 sons: Barry Brown of Mesquite, Texas; Brad Brown (Tonyia) of Memphis, Tenn. 2 daughters: Karen Judkins (Wayne), and Anita Goodson (Paul) both of Little Rock. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and their spouses, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Boyce was employed by Superior Forwarding Company for over 30 years, and retired from Jones Truck Line in 1992. For many years he made a daily trip to pick up and deliver freight in Stuttgart. Many of his customers became good friends and he was well liked. He was a member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church where he was a deacon and a faithful member. He loved to travel and he and his wife had visited all fifty states and all 75 counties in Arkansas.

Visitation will be held at North Little Rock Funeral Home, Friday, July 1st at 1:00 pm. The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. with Bro. Steve Westbrook. Interment will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers please make memorials to Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church.
