Bonnie Rebecca Easley Whisnant, 92, of Georgia left this world to be in the presence of her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 12, 2007.
Born September 4, 1914 in Mt. Ida, Arkansas. Bonnie Easley traveled by wagon to Greenwood, Arkansas at age three. She grew up there and married. They raised their family and moved to North Little Rock in 1955 where she became a member of Park Hill Baptist Church. Bonnie, an avid harmonica player and a member of The Ukulele Band, played for local nursing home residents. She once stole the show in Branson, Missouri when Andy Williams invited her up on stage. In Georgia, she played background music for a movie production and was featured at the end of the DVD sharing memories with the director. Bonnie never met a stranger and gave much of herself to assist friends and family.
She is survived by her daughter Sandra SulIards of Stone Mountain, Georgia and her son Gary Whisnant of Branson, Missouri. With lots of proud moments, she bragged to everyone about her grandsons: Cameron, Shane and Brooks Sullards of Georgia and Steve and Stan Whisnant of Arkansas. Her great grandkids; Jordan, Skylar, Stephen, Sara, Mackenzie, Sydney, Jadyn, Rachel, Samuel and Kiralesee will hear many wonderful stories about their dear "Gigi" from the Ozark hills of Arkansas.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2007, Dennis Coop delivering the service, at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, in North Little Rock, Arkansas, 758-1170.
