Bonnie Davis

April 11, 1939 — December 16, 2020

Bonnie Davis

Bonnie Sue Davis, age 81, was rescued from illness on December 16, 2020 and brought home to Heaven to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  She joins her late mother and father, Joe and Pauline Blaylock; brothers, James and John Blaylock.

She is survived by her husband James (Jim) Davis, of North Little Rock – married 62 years. In addition, she is survived by her sister Linda K. Lester and husband Vern of North Little Rock; two children and their families; daughter Karen Watts and husband Phillip of North Little Rock; son, Gregory Davis and wife Alesia of Fort Smith; three grandchildren, Chad Watts and wife Stephanie of Texarkana, Molly Banks and husband Matthew of North Little Rock; Andrew Davis of Fayetteville and six beautiful great-grandchildren, whom she loved and adored.

Bonnie was born April 11, 1939 in London, Arkansas.  She was the oldest of four children.  She was a graduate of Capital City Business College and worked for many years as an Executive Secretary.  She later answered a calling from God to serve as a Core Leader at Community Bible Study (CBS) of North Little Rock for twenty years.  She loved all of “her girls”, the women she taught and mentored at CBS. She was also a longtime member of the Dockins Sunday School Class at Park Hill Baptist Church, North Little Rock.

She was the epitome of a disciple of God. She devoted her life to sharing God’s word and spreading his love to all. With the combination of her servant’s heart and her willingness to allow the Lord to be her strength, she was a powerful force in all that she did from being a wife, mother, teacher and true friend.  She abundantly lived the “Fruits of the Spirit” in her goodness, faithfulness and generosity to so many during her life.

A private service of immediate family will be held. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in North Little Rock.
