Bobbye Elizabeth Joyner

Bobbye Elizabeth (Stone) Joyner, 90, of Little Rock passed on to the Lord's care Friday,

January 9, 2015. Born in Conway in 1924, she lived in Humphrey for many years,

working as bookkeeper in the school system, and in Bee Branch and Little Rock after

retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband Weldon A. Joyner of Bee Branch,

her parents Mont and Lessie Stone of Conway, three sisters, Rose June Graham of

Greenbrier, Molly O'Kelly of Memphis, and Glynda White of Conway. She is survived

by two brothers, William (Bill) Stone (Pat) and James (Jim) Stone (Sherry), both of

Conway, and by four children, Robert (Butch) Joyner (Jamye) of Springfield, lllinois, Joe

Graham (Rhonda) of Conway, Jim Joyner (Robin) of Little Rock, and Sue Mote (Ralph)

of Mabelvale. She was a beloved grandmother to eight grandchildren and great-

grandmother to nine great-grandchildren.

Bobbye was a selfless and caring person, a devout Christian, and an active

member of Martindale Baptist Church, teaching Sunday school class and working in

vacation bible school. She had a special interest in missions and was always willing to

help in any area of need, such as organizing and maintaining the church library. She

enjoyed reading and cooking (no one made a better chocolate pie), but her greatest joy by

far was spending time with family. She was loved by all who knew her and was treasured

by her family.

Visitation 4 - 6 p.m., Tuesday, at Griffin Leggett Funeral Home, 1751 Dave Ward

Drive, Conway. Funeral 10 a.m. Wednesday at Martindale Baptist Church, 18900

Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, Rev. Larry Walters officiating, eulogy by Randy

Frazier. Burial at Bee Branch Baptist Church in Bee Branch at 12:30 p.m, Pallbearers are

Ben Joyner, Bill Joyner, Rob Joyner, Corky Joyner, Richie Graham, and Matt Joyner. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Boggs and Bobby Boggs.
