Bobby Skaggs

Bobby Dewayne "Wayne" Skaggs passed away peacefully at his home in Sherwood January 9, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. Wayne was born in Bradford, Arkansas.
He was one of four children born to the late Bobby Dean Skaggs and Edith May Tedder and was the beloved husband of Laura Stringer Skaggs for over 22 years. Wayne will forever be remembered by his loving sisters Tammi Thompson (Eddie) and Denise Scott (Wade), beloved children Matthew Moore (Sharon), Michael Nieto, Aaron Moore and Amanda Summers (A.J.), treasured grandchildren Makayla, Abby, Kiley, Ethan, A.J. and caring stepfather Jerry Johnson, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to have known him.
Wayne was happily employed at Little Caesars of Arkansas as a maintenance engineer for the past four years. Previously he had the pleasure of being employed, serving many that he adored, at the Jack Evans Senior Citizens Center.
Wayne was crazy about his beloved dogs Harley and Haley. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing his guitar, laughing, being with his family and having fun with friends.
Wayne touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 13, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rest Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. The family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Sherwood Humane Animal Services.
