Bobby McKenzie Rogers

Bobby McKenzie Rogers, a beloved family man, passed away on October 22, 2023. He was a dedicated individual who left an indelible mark on the lives of those around him. Born on December 31, 1966, Bobby lived a life filled with love, passion, and devotion. His career as a lead supervisor at Arkansas Democrat Gazette spanned several years. 

Outside of his professional life, Bobby was a man with diverse interests and hobbies. He enjoyed the serene beauty of nature through activities like hunting and fishing. These hobbies allowed him to appreciate the wonders of the world in which we live. He had a keen interest in history, always eager to expand his knowledge on historical events. An avid coin collector, Bobby found solace and joy in discovering rare coins and uncovering their stories.

More than anything else, Bobby cherished his role as a family man. He was married for 24 years to Kimberly Rogers, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Their love and partnership were solid pillars that supported their beautiful family. Together, they raised five loving children: Rachel Holt (Scott), Christopher Dodd (Halie), Ashley Coney (Chris), Samantha Coney (Michael), and Amanda Thaxton (Daniel). Bobby's love knew no bounds when it came to his grandchildren - Cheyenne, Chawnee, Stormy, Anniston, Berklee, Caitlynn, Khloe, Carter, Savannah, Seth, Skylar, Tucker, and Barrett. Bobby's mother, Mary Rogers, as well as his nephew Gage Rogers, grieve his loss deeply. In this time of sorrow, we find solace in knowing that Bobby is now reunited with his father, Harvey Lee Rogers, Sr., and his brother, Harvey Lee Rogers, Jr. 

Bobby's warm smile and caring nature touched the lives of everyone he met. His compassionate heart radiated kindness towards all those around him. He had an uncanny ability to make people feel welcomed and loved, creating lasting bonds throughout his life.

A Celebration of Life will take place on October 25th at GRACE Church East End, 24300 US-167, Hensley, AR 72065. The ceremony will begin at 11:00 AM and is open to all those who wish to pay their respects to this remarkable individual. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society or Arkansas Game and Fish.

Bobby McKenzie Rogers touched countless lives during his time on Earth. He will forever be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his career, and the countless moments of joy he brought to those around him. Although we mourn his passing, may we also celebrate a life well-lived and cherish the memories that he has left behind. Rest in peace, dear Bobby.
