Bobby Johnson, 70, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away October 29, 2019. He was born September 19, 1949 in Garner, Arkansas. He attended Sheridan High School and was a proud veteran serving in the Army in Korea and retiring from the Arkansas National Guard. Bobby worked for the VA and National Guard as a Federal Employee and was also a truck driver for 20 years.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Sherry Wharton Johnson; sons, Kristopher Johnson (Amanda) and Bobby Johnson, Jr.; daughter, Kim Johnson; and five grandchildren, Amy, Calee, Heather, James, and Sarah Johnson; and brother, Jewel Dewayne Johnson (Penny). He is preceded in death by his parents, Jewel and Mary (Norton) Johnson.
Bobby was a member of First Assembly of God in North Little Rock, a lover of motorcycles and antique cars, especially ’57 Chevys and deer hunting. He also enjoyed collecting knives and watches.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to “Project Rescue Mission” at First Assembly of God, 4500 Commercial, North Little Rock, 72116.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 6:00-8:00PM at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home, 7700 Hwy 107. Funeral services will be at 11:00AM, Friday, November 1, 2019 at First Assembly of God NLR with burial to follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum.
